‼️🐱ADOPT ME🐱‼️

Azula
DLH torbie
2 years old (approx)
Female, fully vetted (potentially needs leg amputated)

Azula was found as a mama kitty in Gallup New Mexico. She stayed at this smaller/rural shelter for several months before they reached out for help. This small shelter didn’t have the resources to get Azula the potential leg amputation she may need with her back leg that is about 3/4 whole!🤪 Azula has one of the best personalities, that includes head butts for her humans and running when called (once she gets over initial fears of being in a new place) she has fit in well in her foster home so far, with her foster dad being head over heals in love (act quick… before he adopts her 😉 ). She is very social with humans.

Dogs: she is currently fostered in a home with a deaf dog and has done okay, with slower intros and prefers to be left alone. With her age and demeanor, a home with dogs would likely be just fine! However she would much prefer to have slower interactions with dogs that will respect her space.

Cats: When meeting a cat while being cat sat, Azula instantly took to her temp cat friend. After seeing this interaction, We decided to give her some kittens to interact with in foster and she reminded us that the kitten life was something she said bye bye to hasn’t necessarily LOVED her kitten roommates so far… but hasn’t been outwardly mean/aggressive. She gives them a polite bop if they come to close, and hasn’t sought interaction from her roomies. She would likely be fine with cat friends over time OR be okay with being an only cat. She doesn’t seem set on either fate🤪 Azula has started to enjoy her kitty foster siblings, especially after one of them left. She has been playing and grooming her kitty foster sibling!

Kids: being an ex mama cat… Azula would likely love kiddo humans to love on. She embraces alllll the affection from her humans, but can be shy when she’s first transitioning.

Litter box: she has shown great litter box habits! She is currently using pine pellet litter! But was using clay while in the shelter.
