Steve is a happy go lucky dog who will follow you around and check on you to see what you are up to and if there are any treats involved for him. This is unless he is deep in his nap or sun bathing time then he is occupied. He loves to play fetch and will retrieve whatever you throw for him after you get him warmed up. He wants to snuggle with you wherever you are on the couch, chair or bed. He's got really cute floppy ears and that adorable Pittie curious head tilt. This almost 2 year old dog has energy to play but in typical Pittie fashion is also happy to laze about the house with you.

He loves the attention but isn't overly needy with it (unless you’re giving it to another animal that isn't him then he wants extra pets too). He knows sit and is working on lay down and stay. He is always hungry and so like to check and make sure you didn't forget anything on the counter and will pick up anything you left behind as a courtesy..we are working on staying off the counters lol. He is very good motivated and takes treats gently.

He loves to cuddle with humans and his female foster dog. When playing outside he can jump fairly high like he is in the NBA so someplace with a high fence may benefit from that. He isn't hyperactive and down to go with the flow wherever or whatever that may be.

Dog: He currently lives with a 7 year old female dog. Likes to play doggie tag and cuddle up after. While at the shelter, he was adopted and returned due to getting in fights with a male dog in the short-lived adopted home. We have no insight on what the fights were over or who started them or how bad they were… or if they actually happened. While being a PKR dog, he has met and spent a weekend with a smaller breed male dog and a large male dog. He was initially intimidated by the large male, but quickly got over that and played/cuddled. He absolutely adores puppies!
Cats: Steve did amazing with his meeting a cat, but he doesn’t currently live with one. He wasn't really engaged with the cat and seemed more on the fearful side. A home with cats may be possible and we are happy to further evaluate his cat friendliness if needed!

Kids: he is kid friendly! He has played tag and hung out with kiddos.

Crate: he eats in his crate just fine and is happy to go in. He would prefer to sleep out of his crate at night… but he is crated at night and during the day in his foster home.

Potty: so far in his foster home, he has not pottied in his crate/indoors or mark in house. May mark a bit on walks.

Energy Level: happy to go on a walk, play fetch, go on a hike or watch TV on the couch he is happy as long as a human is there
