Precious is a sweet momma who was surrendered to the rescue after her caretaker’s home caught on fire and struggled to care for her and her four kittens. When she arrived, her 3-week-old babies were healthy and round-bellied, and Precious was incredibly attentive. She still occasionally nurses them and loves being near them.
A classic tortie with a sassy and talkative personality, Precious is incredibly sweet and enjoys being petted. While she isn't quite ready for cuddles yet, she loves to sleep nearby on the couch. We've seen her start to loosen up, engaging in playful zoomies and even wrestling with her kittens. We believe that once she’s done caring for them, she’ll become even more playful!
Dogs: May be okay with the right introduction.
Cats: Yes! Would likely love a home with another feline friend.
Kids: Unknown, probably good with anyone of any age🥰
Litter habits: Litter trained, good manners. Currently uses walnut or pine litter
Precious has been fostered with a resident cat and dog, and she’s shown protective instincts towards her kittens, especially around the passive resident dog. We think she’d thrive in a home with another cat, and dogs may be a possibility. As with any animals, slow intros always makes for better futures!🥰
She loves to eat and will try to charm you into extra feedings of wet food. Precious has great litter box manners!
